The Sweetest Holiday Healthy Balls!

This is one great recipe for holiday healthy balls of dried fruit and nuts that you simply must try it. These raw cookies are very easy to make.

Give them to the kids instead of unhealthy sweets, or make them for you and your friends when you want to enjoy the fullness of natural flavors. Or give them like a holiday gift in decorative tin to those who like premium sweets.


Ingredients (for 15-20 balls):

  • 10 grams of ground almonds
  • 10 grams of dates or figs
  • 10 grams of walnuts or hazelnuts
  • juice from 1 orange
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons of ground carob
  • 1 large banana
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons coconut flour – for decoration


Chop the almonds, dates and figs in a food processor. Chop the walnuts or hazelnuts into chunks. Fork mash the banana.

Mix all the dry ingredients, add the orange juice, the banana and the vanilla extract. Mix until you have a batter, that from it you can make balls. If you estimate that you need more dried fruit or almonds and hazelnuts, add them to the mixture.

Hand shape into balls and finally roll in coconut, carob or chocolate /cocoa powder, depending on which flavor you like.

They go great with warm cocoa. Enjoy!
