The effect of genetically modified foods on the human body is causing terrible consequences, and even the appearance of cancer.
And to be the story even worse, GMO foods are not labeled, so it makes almost impossible to avoid them. The requirement for labeling this food is crushed by giant food manufacturers.
Although GMO products are not labeled, there is a trick which will show you how to recognize whether it is GMO fruits and vegetables. Look for the number on the label of the product, which is called PLU Number or PLU Code (Price Look-up Code). If PLU is a four-digit number starting with 3 and 4 mean that the product is not GMO, but it grew up on a farm where they use chemicals and pesticides.
If it’s a five-digit number beginning with 9, that means that the product is organic, grown without chemicals, pesticides and genetic modifications.
If the products is marked with a five-digit number beginning with 8 means it is a GMO product that you may don’t want to buy!!!
Which products are mostly GMO? Apples, celery, peppers, peaches, strawberries, apricots, grapes, lettuce, cucumbers, blueberries, potatoes, green beans, oranges, corn, zucchini, cherry and hot peppers.
These fruits and vegetables are much less genetically modified: onions, garlic, pineapple, avocado, peas, mangoes, eggplant, kiwi, cantaloupe, sweet potatoes, grapefruit, watermelon and mushrooms.
